Babies make lots of different noises from grunts, giggles, to baby babble. Most of the time, these don’t really mean anything other than they’re absorbing information about the world around them. However, when the need arises, they have their ways of letting you know, and yep, you guessed it – it’s all in their cries!
Being new parents can be tricky and you may find it hard to distinguish between your baby’s cries. So Barbara Care, Inc. has decided to introduce you to the five basic sounds your baby makes before the wailing begins:
- Neh – hunger.
This sound is produced when the baby’s sucking reflex kicks in and their tongue is pushed up on the roof of the mouth.
- Eh – burp.
This sound is an attempt to release the trapped bubble of air through their mouths and an indication that your baby needs to be burped. Aides from our home care services in Lexington, Kentucky will happily assist you in after-feeding care of your baby.
- Eairh – gas.
Babies often use this sounds to inform you that they have an upset tummy or flatulence. This sound comes from an unreleased burp that travels down the baby’s stomach. This can also mean that there’s a bowel movement in progress.
- Heh – discomfort.
This sound happens when babies are feeling stressed, discomfort, or need a diaper change. Our team can help provide personal care in Kentucky so you and your baby can rest.
- Owh – sleepiness.
That a baby’s version of a yawn. They make this sound to let you know that they’re sleepy.
Mothers recovering from childbirth also benefit from our health care service. Aides will be there to give assistance to the mother as she regains her strength and experiences the joys of motherhood – but with less hassle.
